The asteroid named Monotora is one of the youngest and smallest of the Ore Titans, though it is still 16.3 kilometres across.
A huge rust-red mining base sits planted into one of its blue-grey craters. This base is the communal home of drone excavators from several usually competing corporations, including Relatech Industrial, Judon-Krest and Illika Union.
Every 2 hours and 14 minutes, the gravity shifts to a seemingly random intensity between 87% and 174% (with 100% being the baseline it seems to reset to every 8 cycles). Because of this, any mining pursuits on the asteroid require specialized machinery which can adapt to the changing pressure.
Treasure Hunters are also known to fly down to the asteroid’s flame geysers in the chance that they will be lucky enough to catch an ejected Monotora’s Pearl.
