Wavetable // Stretched Layers

At time of release, I had chosen to name these first three tracks in a way that insinuated the techniques that were being used, to emphasise the nature of each track as an experiment. I chose to drop the naming convention after this track, as I felt that a track’s title is an incredibly powerful thing for setting the scene. I am now writing this reflection roughly 9 months later, which explains the experiments in more depth anyway. If I had given it a “scenic” name in the first place, I would call it “The Fields of Plume”.

It turns out that Audacity creates incredibly huge project files, which is not at all helpful for hosting or downloading these project files. Due to this, I was experimenting with new ways to document the process. In the zip below, I have included Audacity notes and screenshots, but I’ll also share them here. One of the key tools in the sound of this track was the use of PaulStretch.
