I must admit that, while I like how this track turned out, I don’t think it fits the aesthetic of the album. It was intended to express a handheld tape recorder, but in retrospect this aesthetic diverged from the handheld game console “options menu” type theme. Moving forwards, I will try not to consider a track “finished” if it doesn’t fit with the album it is being created for.
As for the track itself, it was one of the first experiments with exporting the stems from Furnace Tracker, and importing them into Bespoke Synth for mixing and automation. The result sounded like a fun jazz tape recording, reminiscent of something that Yuusef Dayes and friends might make.
