Xenogears has had a profound impact on me. At time of writing, I have played through the game once, and watched Majuular’s 3-hour video essay on it about five times.
hymn was created during on of my revisits to the Xenogears world, and expresses that techno-spirituality that the game paints so skillfully.
This was also one of the first tracks I made that started out a lot more complex, but ended up deciding to strip it back to the core part that resonated strongly with me – a stripped-back focus being something I kept in mind for future tracks.
What you hear is essentially the loop of the bridge from the first version, with a few more details for atmosphere and variety.
