I grew up as a Christian. I started moving away from that faith as a teenager, but have continued to bounce between different spiritualities throughout my life. One of the big reasons for this is that I have always had a fairly strong sense of intuition as to what direction or steps to take next.
I have never been able to pin down how healthy or unhealthy this intuition is in general, but at the time of making this track, I decided to bring it completely into my music workflow. Each step I took in the process would be an intuitive one, even if it went against my “better” judgement as a producer.
This process unfortunately meant that I was not bound to steps that are open-source, and so I tried to write process notes (included in the zip) along the way. It was an interesting experiment, but having to write notes for every single step in a creative process does take you out of the flow of it..
