DDA01

There is something about the repeated mechanical sounds of old hard drives that are surprisingly nostalgic. Yet, like other sound-keys, they unlock and pull us back to an era when operating systems GUIs were forced to be smart with screenspace, and tended to menu out in well-organised ways.

Feeding a long sample of pink noise into Convolution Reverb will stretch out an input sound into a long and cascading spectral wave. This technique was shared with me by virtuosic producer, Vospi, who I am fortunate to also consider a friend. That was the seed that sparked this track, and then this EP.
