The Azurus Biochain is the name given to a series of research facilities, all specialised in the genetic modification of plants. These facilities are all independently owned, but operated without contention or competition between them. The key to this peace is a Triangular Trade style system, where each facility – each team – focuses on one specific area, producing research results that are vital and yet freely shared them with the neighbouring facilities. This ultimately creates an unofficial symbiotic alliance throughout the Chain.
Surrounding the research facilities are huge fields of bio-luminescent anemones, rightfully earning the name of the Fluorescent Forests. It is out from the huge metallic structures of the Biochain and into these surrounding technicolor forests that the first race of the IRF Delta Cup takes place.
