The second of the two Soul Trials. Contrasting with the Trial of Skypole Gorge, the Moon Cave is a trial of the mind and spirit.
Being a secondary cave hidden within the depths of the Sun Cave Village, beyond where the refracted sun rays can reach, its illumination comes from a torch of blue fire which sits at its core. The walls of the Moon Cave are made of mirror-like ice and so those who delve inside are met with endless reflections and illusions.
A successful initiate needs to find their way to the blue flame and then find their way back out to the entrance. However, as eyes cannot be trusted inside, the trick is to control their breath and rely on a developed inner sense of direction to find their way.
