The Skypole Gorge trial consists of an obstacle course where one must master a careful dance across suspended wooden pillars hanging 30 metres above the dried riverbed below.
Usually reserved for local initiation rights, according to the Myth of Ios, the foreign explorer Ios was allowed to take the challenge, and succeeded.
